Phone Turing – the first smartphone with casing of liquid metal … – FrazPC.pl

The liquid metal is a metal alloy (from a technical point of view, the metallic glass), who seems to combine the best features of large quantities of materials in a single product. Because he is very resistant to corrosion and deformation and is characterized by high flexibility, which makes it an ideal candidate for housing for smartphones. This material often appear in the leaks relating to the new iPhone, but it Robotic Turing Industries presented the first phone with a housing (specifically frame) of liquid metal.

We are talking about the model Turing Phone (announced some time ago), which uses its own type of liquid metal called Liquidmorphium (an alloy of copper, aluminum, nickel and silver). It provides excellent shock absorption and is stronger than steel, and what more can boast design IPX8 certified, which means it is waterproof and will survive immersion in water up to 10 meters deep. But that’s not all the elements that distinguish this handset against competitors, because the manufacturer promises will also find an advanced encryption system “completely isolating from cyber threats and protecting our privacy from outsiders.”

As for the specifications, we can count on the 5.5-inch Full HD display with Gorilla Glass 4, 801 Snapdragon processor, 3 GB of RAM, 13 MP rear camera with dual LED flash, 8 MP front camera, fingerprint reader and a battery with a capacity of 3000 mAh.

Phone Turing price for the 16 GB model is 610 USD and the 64 GB and 128 GB versions respectively priced at 740 USD and 870 USD. As we can see it is not cheap, but if you decide to pre-order, the manufacturer adds to the set of keyboard, game controller, headset and Bluetooth speaker. Presales will begin on July 31, but not yet revealed the release date of the device.
