According to astronomers, the thin mist is further proof that in the atmosphere of Pluto’s something going on. The processes may be similar to the natural water cycle on Earth.
Probably it comes to some exotic form of ice. Fog on Pluto has several layers; the thickness of the atmosphere goes back more than a hundred kilometers. The probe New Horizons already supply the pictures of mountains, plains and gullies on the surface of Pluto. The ship flew past the dwarf planet in July, took so many photos that downloading them will take a year.
