One of the first events IFA 2015 in Berlin was a conference of Sony, which shows a new family flagship phone of the manufacturer. Xperia Z5 is actually one phone in three persons. Under the name Sony Xperia Z5 hidden device with a 5.2-inch full HD screen, equipped with a 23-megapixel camera and powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processor 810. Powers is a 2900 mAh battery.
The second phone is Sony Xperia Z5 Compact for less, having a 4.6-inch HD screen (or 1280×720 pixels). Inside are hidden the same systems, the only difference to a large Xperia Z5 is 2, not 3 GB of RAM. The Battery in Xperia Z5 Compact has a capacity of 2700 mAh.
The greatest interest was the third member of the family, Sony Xperia Z5 Premium . Sony has decided to install its screen with a resolution of 4K or 3840×2160 pixels. This is the first such display in smartphones. With a screen size of 5.5 inches gives it a density of 806 PPI image. Battery – 3430 mAh.
Mobile, which showed Sony, is a direct continuation of the predecessors, the Sony Xperia Z3 (Z4 model showed up only in Japan and actually do not know where such a decision numbered). Structurally and aesthetically it still minimalism, using glass and aluminum. The line Z5 is a bit more angular and more like a Xperia Z2 than the Z3.

News is not much, it is rather important improvements. Sony emphasizes above all the camera with a resolution of 23 megapixels – so far, the model Z1, used a 20-megapixel camera. But beyond the resolution of the matrix also changed the structure of the lens, which has a new lens system. The company emphasizes a 5x zoom, who reportedly is to give only minimal loss of quality. It is still, however, digital zoom, so the losses have to be.
The most interesting innovation is the fingerprint reader, a built-in switch on the side. This leaves, therefore, the characteristic projecting circular button to the latch, hidden in the chassis. From what I could see, reading works well and does not require swiping, and only natural touchdowns.
In the new Xperiach there are also changes that have not been said at the conference. The new processor is much less heat – hot housing and problems with heat dissipation plagued previous Sony models. The Sony Xperia Z 3 + proved so troublesome that the phone virtually unusable and only the most recent, big software update is to change it.
Therefore, in line Z5 entire back wall is a heat sink that effectively dissipates heat . Together with the new processor has a make phones no longer ghastly heat up.
Evolution, not revolution
Sony decided to introduce changes that would spectacular and did a great impression. This evolution of the previous, very, in my opinion, successful models. Screen 4K Sony Xperia Premium Z5 is definitely a demonstration of the company. With the 5.5 inch screen and so you will not see a difference – with the optical density of 500 or 800 PPI is virtually indistinguishable. You can however fear that the resolution did not finish off the battery too quickly.
