Sony α7S II offers a wide sensitivity range – from ISO 50 to ISO 409 600. This is the result of combining a full frame 12.2-megapixel sensor with BIONZ image processor X. Image Sensor optimizes dynamic range available in the entire ISO sensitivity range, expanding the scale gradation in bright places and reduces noise in low light.
The camera allows internal video recording 4K (QFHD: 3840 x 2160) format XAVC S (for shooting movies in this format is required SDXC Memory Card Class 10 or higher). All pixels are read without joining the group also when recording Full HD video format (24p / 30p). This means that the generation of Full HD (1920 x 1080) used five times more pixels than the required minimum.
Model α7S II as the first in a series α7 allows you to record video at a rate of 120 frames / sec. at rates of 100 Mb / s (required to have a memory card UHS Class 3), reading all the pixels full frame without connecting them into groups.
