Recently leaked unofficial information about the new Nokia smartphones. It turns out that at the beginning of next year, the Finns want to return to the mobile market with two new devices.
Earlier, however, Nokia wants to deal with his longtime rival Apple, which at the end of the last decade pushed the Finnish company in the smartphone market. For anybody not a secret that the debut of the iPhone has largely contributed to the decline in popularity of Nokia phones. Later Finns were forced to flee a failed “marriage” with Microsoft. And the rest is history.
Now Nokia intends to settle old scores. On Saturday, the Finns have issued a statement which announced the filing of several lawsuits against Apple in the German and American vessels.

Nokia recalled that in 2011 signed an agreement with Apple, under which the us giant has obtained the right to use in their devices part of the patents in the portfolio of Nokia Technologies. It is believed that the value of this agreement amounted to 720 million dollars.
In subsequent years, the company from Cupertino was, but it is illegal to use other patents Nokia. Apple also had to reject a number of proposals of Finns, in which they suggested that the sale of licenses for these solutions.
“Through continuous investment in research and development, Nokia has created or contributed to the creation of many fundamental technologies that are currently used in mobile devices, including Apple products” wrote in a statement Ilkka Rahnasto, head of the patent Department Nokia. “After several years of negotiations in which we tried to negotiate with Apple to use these patents, we decided to take action to protect our rights,” he added.

Apple strikes back
In conversation with the site TechChrunch an Apple spokesman in decisively distanced themselves from the charges related to Nokia. In his opinion, the actions taken after the Finns, it’s an attempt of illegal receipt of the fee.

Previously, the Cupertino-based company announced filing a lawsuit against the group by third parties, which are at the disposal of patents of the Finnish company.
In his petition Apple claims that Nokia already has a license agreement for use of its patents that were included on reasonable and fair terms. The Finns had, however, to transfer the rights to these patents to others in order to generate additional revenues from their titles. According to the Americans, it is unfair practice that goes directly to Apple and other technology companies.
