Thanks to satellite imagery noticed traces of other Viking settlement in America. If the first findings are confirmed, it will mean that our knowledge of the Vikings is incomplete and they arrived further to the west .
The remains of medieval settlements, built probably by newcomers from Europe, found Newfoundland. This means that the Vikings had circumnavigated the whole island. Until then, the only known Viking settlement in the New World was L’Anse aux Meadows on Newfoundland’s.
The latest discovery is still unofficial. If confirmed, re-ignite controversy about how far they reached the Vikings. Some experts say that for Quebec, others suggest that they could swim even in the vicinity of New York.
