The new model can be ordered, inter alia, in the salons of Tesla, so the staff of the company had expected even quite rare the view of the United States (especially in the automotive world), which is the queue. Expected “tails”, which will become even 20-30 people, meanwhile, were places where the queue was up to 800 people interested in purchasing the Model 3. Before the car dealership!

Data from yesterday are already talking about more than 232 thousand orders, so the rate begins to fall. Even so, their number – as he said himself Musk – is from 2 to up to 4 times greater than what we expected. And here is where the problem starts. It should pass himself even aware of the fact that so far, during the entire period of its operation Tesla delivered to customers suddenly about 100 thousand cars – all models. Passed it a few strong mishaps when it comes to slipping time, recently spóźniając up even with providing customers with the Model X.

Of course, Musk already on release sought to reassure potential volunteers images of the new, longer-functioning factory, but even if it does not slide in time, it Model 3 will have to wait sooooo long. As promised, the first deliveries to customers will begin in late 2017 and so for less than two years, but it is estimated that it will be slightly more than 10,000 cars. 2018 – estimates put the next 65 thousands, so if the rate of production does not increase, even the current orders will be executed somewhere in 2020.

As aptly notes Bloomberg, the pace of increasing production by Tesla can cover the achievements of the famous Model T produced by Ford.

Of course, Tesla should react to this situation, even stronger focus on increasing production capacity. At the time of launch Musk promised to produce up to 500 thousand cars a year by 2020, so … everything is on track.
