The origins and history of Apple – part. III
22 January 1984. revealed the brilliant Apple marketing policy. During the third quarter of Super Bowl XVIII was issued the famous Macintosh ad, which was directed by Ridley Scott. Leaflet refers to the futuristic vision of George Orwell titled “1984″. The cost of the ad shoot was $ 000 900, it was simply an astronomical sum in those days. Anya Major – model and sportswoman, the personalization of the Macintosh, ended the era of “Big Brother” – played by David Graham.
Two days later, at the annual meeting of the shareholders of Apple’s Macintosh was presented. PC with a graphical interface (which was much milder than typing lines of code which was reflected in the fact that it was more affordable for average users), housing an All-in-One, known for its iMac and mild “disposition” – just a computer beige resembled a mild, slightly smiling human face, which in those days was not found. So it was a breakthrough that showed people that the computer can be friendly (in those days, many people feared because of large, loud, metal boxes – Macintosh broke with the image). The project, named Macintosh born in the end of the 70s, when Jef Raskin invented a cheap and easy-to-use computer for ordinary Kowalski. His teams also joined by Susan Kare, and Daniel Kottke (a close friend of his youth Steve Jobs). After the departure of Raskin due to a conflict with Jobs (who was fascinated by technology GUI), this took the reins of the Macintosh team.
