Hyperloop is a revolutionary means of transport, which is formed on the initiative of Elon Musk, the billionaire behind such projects as PayPal, Tesla, Space X.
Last year, Musk announced a competition for the capsule a passenger, which signed up 1200 teams from all over the world. The second stage got 300 of them, including teams from Polish.
What is Hyperloop
Hyperloop – as explained in your material Piotr Stanislawski – a long tube in which a small aluminum carriages are rushing for up to 28 people. These capsules move at a speed reaching up to 1,200 km / h. To achieve such a result uses two key solutions.
First, the entire tube of reduced pressure, which substantially reduces friction. But it is not so low that the gaping construction could lead to disaster.
Secondly, each wagon is equipped with a compressor that draws air from the front of the vehicle and pumped it back and partly on the sides. This gives the drive a capsule, and at the same time creates an air cushion on which it floats.

The specialists working in Hyper Poland, who are among the finalists, decided to go a step further. They take on … the construction Hyperloop in Poland. Scientists are aware that this requires a gigantic effort. They want to start with a prototype capsule, and then a short, test track section. To this end, they decided to start fundraising portal crowdfundingowym odpalprojekt.pl
We are ready to take on the construction Hyperloop’a in Poland. We want to start from prototyping 1:24. The next step will be to prepare a short test track and a small version Hyperloop’a in the cargo version.
– specify.
I define different thresholds for the collection specifying what they will do after obtaining the sum concerned:
- 40 000 zł – Model in 1:24 scale printed on a 3D printer
- Bardo can make an accurate model on a 3D printer in powder technology
- 70 000 zł – The advanced model in 1:24
- A model of a moving turbine moved by an electric motor
- 100 000 zł – complex model stations
- A model demonstrates advanced transfer station logistics system
- 150 000 zł – full-sized mock-up of the passenger compartment
- We can make a model which will be able to get in and feel like a real Hyperloop’ie. The model will be used to test the ergonomics of the interior.
Do you start conversations about the construction Hyperloop in Poland has any meaning at all? On the collection appeared skeptical comments.
“Capsule in our country is rather unrealistic … but the project is the development of technology and can be real in other countries, I wish you success and good luck”
– writes one of the debaters.
Everything beautifully and well, sincerely wish you success, but ehkm … gather on the prototype, as its name suggests action, especially for the most part of the description, and I have lived all my life as you can see in the mistaken belief that the “prototype” is something more than a mock-up and a 3D model on a scale toy …
– adds another.
But specialists do not have Hyper Poland doubt that the construction of the prototype is just the first step.
Building a full-size prototype of which you write will require funding above-mentioned amount of at least 7 digits. For such dofinanowanie we want to do first 1:24 scale prototype that will be used for the purposes demostracyjnych and technology research.
The mere creation of a fully functioning turbines and a short section Hyperloop would of course only one of the stages of the project. If this revolutionary means of transportation actually would connect the city was Polish pave the route, buy land. Realistic, but I think in the long decades.
Do you have an idea Hyper Poland but from the top cross out as unreal? Or maybe it’s a good start for discussions about how to make Poland the leader of this innovative technology. Who knows, maybe one day own Hyperloop chooses to finance the European Union. On Hyperloop can therefore be seen as a long term investment. If Europe created a powerful Hadron Collider, since we have our own space program may in a few years we will travel Hyperloop?
