Of course, during the presentation could not miss the numbers that help to illustrate the performance of this device. And so, according to its computational power producer reply has 150 notebooks MacBook Pro, all housed in a casing the size of a box of breakfast. Here we find two Tegra chips CPUi offering 12 cores (8 Cortex-A57 and 4 Denver) and Pascal GPU and Nvidia used in this case 16-nanometer process technology FinFET. All of this has translated into the computing power of 8 TFLOPSów, in the case of deep learning 24 TFLOPSów. The whole thing is while water-cooled, and its TDP is 250W.

Drive PX2 has been designed for samojeżdżących cars that require massive computing power to cope with all the sensors and it will be necessary here to use machine learning technology. According to Nvidia PX2 will be able to handle up to 12 cameras, lidar, radar and ultrasonic sensors.

The first partner of Nvidia uses PX2 will be Volvo, which applies computer in their test autonomous vehicles. The Greens have also prepared a new platform Nvidia Drivenet developer tools for manufacturers, and the company is also working with Audi over the testing of their systems that were able to recognize traffic signs on German roads “better than people.”
