The recent mysterious dark and light patches on the surface Pluto are becoming clearer. To excellence they are far, because the probe still has to overcome a considerable distance: more than three million kilometers. But scientists already rubbing their hands.
– These images that we receive at this time are much better than what you gave us once the Hubble Space Telescope. Already since May these images are of higher resolution – explains IAR astronomer at the University of Wroclaw Dr. Sylvester Kołomański. And it gets better, because New Horizons spacecraft makes towards Pluto at a speed of almost 13 kilometers per second. Right next to the planet fly on Tuesday and takes photos with accuracy greater than one hundred meters per pixel.
