in 2010, the CES in Las Vegas. Then the 3D technology for televisions was everywhere

After the gigantic success of “Avatar” Director James Cameron, all the studios wanted to sell the product in 3D. The reason? The chance to raise prices for movie tickets. As we know, the trend of 3D movies in cinemas continues today and probably will remain. However, we have nothing to rely on 3D in the home. Technology has not caught on – main, for two reasons. What?

the First was very prosaic – in the period from 2010 to 2012, when everyone considers himself a producer has in its offer, 3D TV, few consumers expected change TV HD/Full HD – barely purchased the receiver in previous years. Televisions that support 3D technology, they were more expensive, besides, we had to have matching sunglasses. All of this increased spending.

the Second reason is the amount of content implemented in 3D – in addition to converting movie hits, a few video games, some sports broadcasts and a handful of adult production, few label realizowało 3D materials. It’s not wróżyło well the new standard.

- Shooting a bad movie in 3D is not a problem. To make a good 3D production is not so easy – said in 2010 in a conversation with Interią buzz Hayes, Vice-President of the Center for 3D Technologies by Sony. Unfortunately, he had a lot of rights – these worse production, the average realized conversion was not enough. Meanwhile, seven years ago, Hollywood due to the 3D great hopes,- read more about this period can be found in our extensive material from a trip to Hollywood.

Or Ultra HD, also called 4K, in the footsteps of 3D? Not. This solution is much cheaper to implement, which are present in most new TVs, and in the first place – has already taken hold and it’s literally because this technology, unlike 3D was created with the idea of watching and playing in the house, not in the cinema.
