According to a report IDC , this year will come to sell more than 293 million PCs, and next year – approx. 291 million. Most of them will operate under Windows, and adding to that the fact that the users of the system with the numbers 7, 8 and 8.1, sooner or later will change to a “decade”, it has a chance of success.
Of these 293 million PCs approx. 20 million is Apple machines, as well as several million Chromebooks. It can therefore be assumed that PCs with Windows sales of approximately 270 million, but 20% of them will operate under the earlier versions. It remains approx. 216 million devices with Windows 10. If such a trend would remain for the next three years, it means selling 648 million computers with Windows 10, so 64% to the target Microsoft. However, the trend will change in favor of Windows 10, so you can assume approx. 800 million new PCs with Windows 10 for three years. According to a recent analysis of Net marketshare, 1.5 billion are currently using Windows over 71% is Windows 7, and 8. And the great unknown is how many of their users go to Windows 10. But if we add to that smartphones, which will operate under this system, Microsoft has quietly reached its goal.
