Under the controversial slogan: “Abortion in Defense of Life!” marches through Warsaw this year’s XVII Warsaw manifa. Manifesting went from the Palace of Culture and Science, and the march will end at the Castle Square.
– The slogan “Abortion in Defense of Life” may seem absurd, but his reasoning is very simple: it is right to abortion protects lives – the lives of women and children. Lack of legal abortion is the abortion underground, dangerous and expensive. Refusing women the right to abortion, they put them up against the wall. Women interrupt their pregnancy without medical protection, risking life and exposing their children to the orphanage. Year 5 million women are hospitalized due to complications from unsafe abortion. Approximately 220,000 children lose because of this mother – explained the organizers, announcing his action.

XVII Manifa took off at 12.00 from the Palace of Culture and Science, will go Marszałkowska, Świętokrzyska, Nowy Swiat and Krakowskie Przedmiescie up to the Castle Square.
The organizers of marches, informal group “Understanding women on March 8,” they emphasize that the right to determine their own fertility is a human right and the organized protest they want to express their demands – demand “access to abortion and contraception, sex education, worthy births and miscarriages, the actual support for bringing up children. ” As pointed out, the demand for these rights is a real defense of life.
Informal Group “The agreement March 8 Women” was established in 2000 after the loud action for interference with police in gynecological surgery in Lubliniec. By anonymous tip about the alleged abortion police ordered the woman perform gynecological examination. According to members of the group: a woman was not informed of her rights. In this case, it prepared a letter of protest, which was released to the media and the Ombudsman, and he intervened. The whole event was accompanied by public protests of women who turned into an annual fight for equal rights of women and all disadvantaged groups.
