Archbishop Gądecki said that the Risen Christ brings peace. – He who has made us both one, and has broken down the dividing wall, that is, the hostility – said the priest. Referring to the situation in the country and divisions between the Poles, Chairman KEP called Exhortation of Pope John Paul II “Reconciliatio et Paenitentia” of reconciliation and penance. We read in it that sin causes a break – it derive all the other forms of split inside man and around him.
The prelate pointed out that full reconciliation requires liberation from sin, which must be completely eradicated. – Accurate, internal link unites conversion and reconciliation. It is impossible to split these two realities or to speak of one, and nothing of the other – the archbishop said. He stressed that “the solution to the crisis depends only on Poles – but the Poles who wish to convert, who serve the truth.”
The clergyman also spoke about falling in this jubilee year 1050 anniversary of Polish Christianity, which is an opportunity to give thanks for the faith of our people, handed down from generation to generation until today. He expressed the hope that the memory of that landmark event “brighten up the dark regions of our country.”
President of the Polish Bishops’ Conference spoke about the vision of the world, “which is not able to go beyond what is visible and experimental, and inconsolable, heading toward nothingness.” – If we eliminate faith in Christ and resurrection, the hope of every man is just an illusion – the archbishop said.
– We stand still before the same choice that can be summed up in the words: ‘God or nothing’ – said the prelate. He expressed hope that this year Easter will be a good spiritual preparation for the adoption of Polish pilgrims during World Youth Day.
The Archbishop stressed that the arrival of the young for this meeting “will be a step in the direction of the Risen Lord, who is a total dream come true every man a happy life.” – It is he who stirs the desire of young radical choices, which do not allow compromises. The priest wished all Poles, at home and abroad, joyous and blessed Easter Resurrection.
