The US Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) discovered a new virus, which may have contributed to the death of 50-year-old man living in Kansas, USA – tells CNN.
The virus is called “Bourbon” – from the name of the district, he lived in an infected patient. As the researchers, this virus can spread by ticks or insect bites.
The virus infected 50-year-old repeatedly bitten ticks in spring 2014 years while working in the garden. After two days, the man fell ill. There have symptoms such as fever, fatigue, rash, headache, muscle aches, nausea and vomiting. Despite treatment at a hospital 50-year-old died of a heart attack.
Most tests for infectious diseases did not indicate the cause of ailments. Searching for the causes of the disease, doctors sent samples taken from the patient to the CDC. There, experts have discovered a new virus.
