Successful launch of the Russian Soyuz with three crew on the ISS – Onet.pl

Towards the International Space Station (ISS) took off from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan ship Soyuz TMA-19M with three astronauts – Briton Tim Peake, American Timothy Kopra and Russian Yuri Malenczenką.

Tim Peake, representing the European Space Agency, is the first astronaut from the UK while they are traveling to the ISS. All the astronauts will remain in orbit for half a year. They join the Russians Sergei Volkov and Mikhail Kornijenki and American Scott Kelly. The latter two are to return to Earth on March 1, after the first annual US-Russian mission in space.

Lot Soyuz to the ISS will last just over six hours. Mooring scheduled for hours. 18.23 Polish time.
