Sales fell tablets. Hybrids? There will be a hit! – Gazeta.pl

The research firm IDC has published its latest report on the sale of mobile devices. It shows that in 2015 sprzesaż tablets dropped significantly – by 8.1% (211.3 million). At the same time hybrids such as the iPad Pro, Microsoft Surface Pro, or Google Pixel grown in popularity. And over the next year, according to forecasts, will be purchased for as much as 75% more.

For example, the Cupertino giant announced a drop in sales of iPads to less than 10 million units. It happened for the first time since 2011. This means that both Apple, Microsoft and Google correctly found entering the market potential for sales of larger and more versatile device.

According to Tech Insider the new trend is also a great opportunity for Microsoft, which depends not only on the conviction consumers into their system, but gaining a strong position as a manufacturer of equipment.

Hybrid, that is?

The most interesting hybrid device presented this year include Surface Pr 4 and iPad Pro. Microsoft’s device has a screen size of 12.3 inches (267 ppi image density) Compared with the previous version improved the keyboard – it is still in the protective screen cover, but improved jump and size of the keys and enlarged touchpad. Changes were made also in stylusie that detects 1024-level pressure. Stylus when not in use, conveniently attaches to the edge of the tablet. The product, for the first time since the introduction of the series on the market, is available in Poland.

During the presentation it was emphasized much his performance – 64-bit processor 3rd generation A9X to be 1.8 times faster than previous systems used in the iPad.
