Canon is working on a matrix with a resolution of 250 megapixels – Interia

Canon announced that it is working on CMOS APS-H (approx. 29.2 x 20.2 mm), which will be equipped with approx. 250 million pixels (19580 x 12600 pixels). The new CMOS sensor is less than 35 mm full-frame sensor and offer the highest available in the world śwatłoczułych number of cells.

The new matrix installed in the camera made it possible to register the material on which you can recognize the side markings the aircraft, which was located at a distance of approximately 18 km from the place hardware settings! The CMOS matrix to increase the number of pixels results in an increase in the volume of the signal, which can cause problems such as signal delays and minor discrepancy time. The newly designed Canon CMOS sensor, although it offers a very large number of pixels, at the same time achieves ultra high speed signal readout, which is 1.25 billion pixels per second. Such parameters achieved by miniaturization of circuits and the use of improved signal processing technology.

Matrix allows you to record video with ultra high resolution at a speed of 5 frames per second. Besides the large number of pixels, Canon uses proven technologies to match the architecture of the matrix to miniaturized pixels, which deliver an image with high sensitivity and low noise.

The video recorded through the camera equipped with an approx. 250-megapixel CMOS sensor reaches a resolution 120 times higher than Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) and up to 30-fold higher than 4K ( 3840 x 2160 pixels). Quality, which offers a matrix can crop and zoom in during recording, but with no loss of image resolution and sharpness.
