Conceived by Julia Cordray and Nicole McCullough service is described as "Yelp for the people". "The creation of application-style PEEPL seems to be the consequence of a certain trend or thinking about virtual reality" - says Jakub Kus, a psychologist of new technologies at the University of Social Psychology in Wroclaw. The same trend sees reasons for criticism faced by the service. "The Internet, in particular social networking sites are becoming increasingly space of self-serving self-presentation. The Internet itself is conducive to aggression towards others, and I am afraid that these + tomato + would be much more "- says Kus.

While the application follows the usual pattern, PEEPL differs from existing sites to allow such. grading teachers or doctors. "The portals evaluating physicians do not refer to them as people, but as for experts, someone who has to perform a certain task. If you did not do well, we can issue a negative opinion" - explains the expert - "PEEPL and is based on fuzzy chaotic and unclear criteria for the evaluation of man as an individual, with his personality and character. How can you compare the evaluation criteria other one man and assessment criteria other? How to compare systems of values, because they often rely on the evaluation of other people? "

The psychologist does not spare this idea, however. "The application PEEPL brings a wealth of personality to click + positive opinion + or + negative opinion +.
