Nvidia will remind you what porn you watch – Virtual Poland

Most web browsers use private browsing mode, in which there is recorded history of viewed sites or other activity. However, if you have a Nvidia graphics card, the situation looks quite different.

The fault driver for Nvidia graphics cards has meant that one of the students had a few moments of absolute embarrassment. Evan Andersen noted that the last session of private browsing in Google Chrome was restored after she started playing Diablo III. Instead, a black screen game during its loading, appeared precisely what earlier looked.

As it turns out, the controller does not clear the memory of the GPU, as well as this particular game, in which a student wanted to play. The game reserved the memory buffer previously occupied by Chrome with porn sites. He was not running Chrome, and only displays the pixels that were at his command rendered. Those in a moment disappeared as the game overwrite “free” filled with pixel graphics memory of Google’s browser.

Nvidia knows about the problem, but so far does not give it high priority.
