Microsoft will become a mobile? This app all betrayed – Gazeta.pl

Users of computers, smartphones and tablets with Windows 10 may receive soon be able to use mobile internet using special SIM cards. Several western Port highlights the application Cellular Data , which appeared in the official store from Microsoft.

The application is available in Poland (which of course does not mean availability service). The description reads:

Looking for a reliable and convenient solution to ensure access to the Internet even when Wi-Fi is not available? Cellular Data Application lets you connect to a trusted mobile data network across the country using only Microsoft account.

In the following Microsoft states that it is enough to buy him appropriate package of data – no need to deal with their local operators.

The company leaves no doubt that the service works only on certain markets (specifically in the US, UK and France) and requires a device with a SIM card Microsoft (production Transatel SA)

How does it work?

The user equipped with a suitable device and SIM card will have to choose a Wi-Fi network called “Cellular Data”. A suitable buys a package in the store from Microsoft.

Google, Apple, Microsoft now

The new service Microsoft is not a special surprise. Virtual operator is Google , Apple also reportedly planning a move (the media reported extensively about it, and the company does not confirm these reports). It is worth mentioning that Microsoft plans to introduce a standard SIM cards, while others are already thinking about a successor standard – Esim.

Perhaps the SIM card Microsoft will work with external modems and routers, 3G / 4G. Then out of Microsoft’s new service could be used on any hardware.
