In principle, one could say, “What is YouTube, everyone can see.” It is known that behind the name of this hidden world’s most popular video service. But a few things about YouTube may not know.
1. When it really created a YouTube
The domain was registered on 14 February 2005. But birthdays are celebrated in May, because it was then launched a beta service. The official launch of YouTube in turn, is dated to December 2005 year.

At the very beginning, when the three founders just beginning to work, YouTube was supposed to be … dating site, whose main element was to be video. He then called the “Tune In Hook Up”. Seriously.

YouTube is used by over a billion people. Within every minute on the service sent 300 hours of recordings. As many as half views of YouTube videos made on mobile devices.

10. YouTube = music

There is a modest company, which accounts for 40 percent of the music on YouTube’ie views. Founded four years ago, for a simple reason – artists and music publishers had enough of unofficial music videos on Google Video and too low share in the ads YouTube. Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment and Abu Dhabi Media have created thus a separate place for music. Later they were joined by Google itself, buying 7 percent of the company’s shares. In this way we are Vevo. If you listen to music on YouTube’ie, probably on official channels creators just you get on Vevo.

13. The problem of piracy still exists

Content ID filter permits a copyright owner to search the contents of YouTube and blocking access to any videos that contain at least a fragment of copyright protected content. However, piracy is like a hydra – cut off one head, and in its place appears a few others. Enter the search YouTube for “Gangnam Style”. You will receive 2 630 000 results. Not all will violate copyrights, but let it be though 10 percent …
14. YouTube and power is enough? Not really

Perhaps it will happen so that we threw on Facebook personal recordings and YouTube become a place of more professional video.
15. YouTube new TV?
The fact that YouTube is to replace the television, hear for years. And yet television still holds great. YouTube still introduces new options, such as live broadcasts.
