Ukraine wants to take out the trash to Poland – Virtual Russia

the garbage from the city could go to Poland. The city is struggling with lack of space in landfills. Lviv authorities complain that they are unable to export waste to landfills in other Ukrainian cities. Lviv mayor Andriy Sadovy, pointed to the possibility of sending waste abroad, in Poland.

As added waste can be extruded, Packed in polyethylene film and in that condition sent outside of Ukraine. Andriy Sadovyi praised Poland as the destination for the export. As he said, none of the Polish sister cities of Lviv refused to take the garbage for recycling. Among the partner cities are, among other Przemysl, Rzeszow, Krakow, Lodz and Warsaw.

Lviv has problems with waste storage. The mayor announced that the trucks with the Lviv waste are retained in other regions of Ukraine and again. The situation of power determine as critical.

Large and overflowing garbage dumps in podlwowskich Grzybowicach was closed after the fire last year. According to the expert of the Lviv landfill of waste is an environmental threat to the 700-thousand city.
