The Acer TravelMate X349 has a housing made entirely of aluminum, finished matt with metal inserts. The device weighs 1.53 kg and is less than 18 mm thick. The notebook comes with Windows 10 Pro, Intel Core sixth generation, up to 8 GB DDR4 memory and a 512 GB SSD. The device offers a battery life of up to 10 hours.
The 14-inch TravelMate X349 offers a resolution of Full HD (1920 x 1080) with support for IPS technology. The hinge lets you tilt the screen 180 degrees and positioning it in a horizontal position. The notebook is also equipped with a sea-island keyboard (chiclet) LED-backlit wide Precision Touchpad.
In addition, the TravelMate X349 supports Skype for Business, enabling remote communication via 720p camera and two microphones. In order to operate external devices, notebook also features a USB Type C, which can be connected to the docking station Acer USB Type C (available separately), making it possible to connect two displays, 4K and peripherals through a single cable.
On the other hand, built-in fingerprint reader, along with Windows Hello lets you login and unlock the device with the touch of a finger. Safety system as standard Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0 increases the integrity of the platform and provides hardware protection for passwords and encryption keys. The notebook also offers software Acer Proshield Manager, a set of security tools and management, enabling protection of sensitive data, as well as Acer Office Manager, which allows professionals in the field of IT for the implementation of security policies and monitoring resources through a single interface.
The Acer TravelMate X349 will be available Poland in September 2016. in two configurations, with Intel Core i5, 4GB of DDR4 memory and disk 128 GB SSD in the price of 3599 zł, and the Intel Core i7, 8 GB DDR4 and 512 GB SSD in the price of 4799 zł.
