Everything points to the fact that today, probably around 15:00 there will be the first official test of cards based on the layout GeForce 1060 GTX . The latest leaks indicate that the first models will go on sale in less than two weeks, on July 19, and its suggested retail price is $ 249 for the card with copyright cooling manufacturer, and $ 299 for the model Founders Edition, which is nothing but a card with reference cooling.
GeForce 1060 GTX will be based on the system GP106 made in 16 nm FinFET process technology, clocked to be the base clock 1506 MHz and will be equipped with 6 GB of GDDR5 memory with a capacity of 192 GB / s (bus 192 bit). TDP whole card was set at 120W, which is about 30W less than GTX model 1070 and the card itself will be equipped with only one power connector 6-pin, and was deprived of the possibility of creating an SLI configuration. Compared to existing GTX 1070 and 1080, we have here is not only much less stream processors (1280 vs 1920 GTX1070 and 2560 in the GTX 1080), but also narrower memory bus (192 bit vs 256 bit).
