Radeon RX 480: Official presentation – Interia

If you were planning in the near future exchange of the GPU, it should abstain from the final decision. Soon, the market can do very interesting.

AMD-mouthed head of “everything Radeon” Raja Koduri, presented at Computex first Radeon 400 series is called Radeon RX 480 and rules! No, it does not mean that it alone is able to defeat the GeForce 1080 GTX (though two heads are better than one … but more on that later).

However, AMD took a different tack than Nvidia and instead start from the high-end, the attack starts from mid-range. And this medium even in our part of the world, because the Radeon RX 480 will cost at launch $ 200. So for our 970 zł and is including taxes. For the card, which has on board 8 GB of RAM and meets the requirements of the VR-u, which is at least as powerful as the GeForce GTX 970 / Radeon R9 390.

Instead of first release tab for the 13 million players, AMD GPU created for the remaining 337 million. And – according to AMD – in conjunction with other RX 480 offers performance such as costing $ 600 GTX 1080.

In any case, the Ashes of the Singularity. What it looks like in other games, we’ll be closer to the premiere, which was established on June 29 (which means that the NDA which not so long ago was leaked, was also the release date of the store.)

This is indeed a major problem – because it means that for the next month any shopping GPU will not have much sense. So AMD’s aggressive pricing mean that the prices of other GPU also fall heavily, otherwise they will stock obsolete.

And this applies even the newest GTX Facilities 1070 and 1080, not to mention a whole series of 900. No because who buys now-a GTX 970 for 1200-1500 zł, now that the moment you get something at least as fast, and cheaper?

at the end of the even more picture in the reference version (fortunately not hear anything the fact that she had to be more expensive):

the last is interesting in that it shows the size of the PCB – so small that the market also versions of the Nano, designed for small PCs.
