ASUS announces the Z170 series motherboards – PC Format

ROG series is a combination of performance and interesting look. The next generation of ROG Maximus VIII dominated 2D benchmarks, Legacy and Unigine Heaven – setting eight world records (WR) and twelve reaching the first position in the ranking of GFP (Global First Place).

Sabertooth Z170 Mark 1 is the announcement of a completely new TUF Series appearance. Futuristic, inspired the battlefield, while the elegant Thermal Armor is decorated in black and metallic gray colors – emphasizes style and strength. Ice TUF Thermal Radar 2 and TUF Detective 2 provide a complete and configurable systems for cooling and monitoring. They can be controlled from the Thermal Radar software or mobile devices. Components used in the TUF motherboards are military grade and pass the most demanding tests in the industry, confirming their full reliability and durability.

Innovative technologies for overclocking

ASUS Pro clock generator has a base clock (BCLK), which was specifically designed for Intel’s sixth-generation . Extends przetaktowywanego base clock frequency to 400 MHz. The system features the ASUS TurboV Processing Unit (TPU) to control the voltage and clock overclocking base, resulting in a completely new method of increasing productivity.

The second generation of ASUS T-Topology enables DDR4 memory overclocking to a whole new level. It includes a special track layout that reduces crosstalk and noise coupling. It ensures a balanced signal transfer time, increasing the stability of the memory. In some models have also been implemented enhanced support for DDR3 / 3L.

The boards also used the function of 5-way system optimization (5-Way Optimization). The user with a single click can customize the computer to the current needs and mode of operation. It consists of: Turbo Module Processor Unit (TPU) responsible for the precise voltage control and advanced monitoring the CPU and graphics card; Module Energy Processing Unit (EPU) to ensure the reduction of energy consumption; voltage regulation module Digi +, which improves performance, increases productivity and ensures high reliability and Fan Xpert 3 enabling full control of the fans. 5-Way Technology Optimization Turbo completes App – intuitive control panel to accelerate and adjust settings for specific games and programs.

Performance ROG to beat world records

Even on release we announced that with the participation of motherboards from ROG Maximus VIII on platforms, is set eight world records (WR) and twelve occupied the first position in the ranking of GFP (Global First Place). This, among other things, the best i5-6600K CPU frequency of 6.808GHz result of the highest clocking the clock (BCLK) frequency of 552.27MHz. Other achievements have been placed in the table below.

Compliance with the first standard USB Power Delivery and interface U.2

Motherboards Z170 USB 3.1 ports have a second generation A and C, which provide data transfer rate to 10Gbit / s. What’s more, the ASUS has prepared its own panel in accordance with the first standard UDP (USB Power Delivery) with two USB 3.1 ports as standard C – the power of 100W will fund eg. A monitor with USB.

Model Maximus Extreme VIII will be the first album Z170 main interface U.2 and support for Thunderbolt 3. Other models such as Z170 and Z170-Premium-Pro will also be compatible with Intel Thunderbolt 3 and USB 3.1. In contrast, a whole series Z170 can handle the latest PCI Express and M.2 NVM Express SSD data transfer of up to 32Gbit / s.

The new plates were used 5X protection Protection II or Gamer’s Guardian, which is a solution that includes the best components, perfectly designed circuit, as well as standards translates into quality and long life. There were also network security at the hardware level LANguard, safeguards to protect the ports from short circuits, precise digital power and corrosion resistant I / O ports. Users receive products of high quality, durable and fully protected.

Motherboard ASUS Z170 will be available in Poland in the first half of August.
