Desktop users will be pleased with the return of the Start menu. However, it resembles some Windows Phone interface, mainly due to the presentation of selected items in the form of tiles. As in the case of the current mobile version of Windows, so in the case of Windows 10, you will be able to match their size. The new Start menu appears also a new search system that will be able to find both information on the disk, as well as found in network resources.
The changes also affect Metro applications. In the next installment of Windows, they will be released, just like regular programs in a separate window. You will be able to change its size, location, and also freely minimize, maximize and, most importantly, close the application with one click. In addition, Microsoft will introduce a number of desktops, that is something that, for example, Linux users are familiar with for a long time.
In addition to the Start menu will also appear “button Tasks”, which will trigger the screen displays all currently running programs. The solution is to support multiple desktops, and the purpose of its introduction is to improve the switching between programs.
Minor changes also lived to see the command line, in which in the end will be able to paste the commands using the shortcut Ctrl + C, Ctrl + V.

Another disappointment is the fact that the company did not say anything about handling DirectX 12, but, as pointed out during the presentation, Joe Belfiore, most consumer features of the new new “windows” will be discussed at another time, and the presentation focused on the “core” of the new Windows 10 And this is undoubtedly the announcement of a single system for all types of devices.

When will be available in Windows 10? Microsoft has not announced the exact date is known, however, that he will debut next year.
