In each of these moments a player has a limited field of view, wondering what is just around the corner or right in front of him. The use of first, second and third plan is a masterpiece, which is not worthy of a movie director.

Second – scanner, often occurring also in the Alien films. This is our key to survival, but also a huge syringe of adrenaline. The device not only points the way to the current destination (forget about any map), but also shows the sources of traffic around. Standing in the dark hallway, staring at the viewfinder scanner and seeing the flashing point rushing towards us, you can fill up on nerves. Especially when this is exactly at the point where the player stands. Before us stretches thick as tar darkness, but just turn on a flashlight and … enough to write that some of the scenes in Alien Isolation may envy same Ridey Scott.
