Samsung announces its first 20nm SoC – Exynos 5430 – FrazPC.pl


  Samsung has decided to announce its new mobile processor family Exynos 5 , who, like his predecessors, offering up to 8 cores (4x Cortex-A15 clocked at 1.8 GHz and 4x Cortex-A7 clocked at 1.3 GHz), but the first is produced in the 20 nm process, which has a higher yield to fruit while reducing energy consumption.

 It is worth noting that the Galaxy Alpha is the first smartphone from Samsung, which will use the system to Exynos 5430 , and its premiere will be held in September. Korean manufacturer ensures that the new SoC is to require 25% less power than its predecessors, partly justify applies Galaxy Alpha Battery with such a small capacity (1860 mAh). What’s more, despite the fact that the smartphone has a display only 720p, the new system provides support for far higher resolution, because 2560×1600 pixels, and do not forget the friendly H.265 video playback.

 It is worth noting that not every version of the Galaxy Alpha is the use of the CPU and in some markets will be a variant of the quad-core system.
