Smartwatchy the market returned to a growth path. But are still considered only Apple and Samsung – Tabletowo.pl

at least two quarters smartwatchy segment recorded a decrease compared to the same periods a year earlier. It is, however, the fourth (calendar), and, as experience shows, this is the best period for manufacturers. Indeed, in the case of “smart” watches was really helpful because it allowed them to get back on the path to growth.

In the fourth quarter of 2016, it sold a total of 8.2 million smartwatchy. For comparison, in the same period a year earlier was 8.1 million. This means small because only 1% growth, but growth. The more that was preceded by two very weak periods.

Largest manufacturers smartwatchy remain Apple and Samsung. The Cupertino-based company sold in the fourth quarter of 2016 5.2 million hours, that is 100 thousand more than in Q4 2015. Koreans, in turn, delivered into the hands of customers from October to December, 800 thousand units. Unfortunately, in their case, it’s less than a year earlier, and this is as much as half a million.

in Total, throughout 2016, all manufacturers sold 21.1 million smartwatchy (the same Apple 11.6 million, and the Samsung 2.4 million). Compared to 2015, when in the hands of buyers fell 20.8 million, growth of 1%.
