On Twitter stars always served to mark the important, interesting or just funny messages. These “favorites” function in the same way for years, but finally came time for a change. From now on all platforms stars have been replaced hearts – whether we like it or not.
Akarshan Kumar, Product Manager Twitter, says that “We like a lot of things, but not everything at once must be ours” Favorites ”. Conversion to the hearts of stars denoting “Like it” would be more friendly to new users and encourage more determination in this way entries.
There is a clear move towards a more emotional response to emerging up for Twitter content. The asterisk means rather support the opinion contained in the entry or appreciate the ingenuity publisher when the heart is more emotional connotations and appeals to our feelings. For now, however, users are not satisfied with the changes and criticize the service, that too becomes similar to Facebook:
