Last month Apple presented its new smartphones iPhone and they have already found the first markets where gather really positive evaluation, which contributed to beatings by the American giant consecutive sales records. Some, however, decided to look at models 6s and 6s plus a little closer – glance under the hood and it turned out that this time the manufacturer decided to use processors from two different sources in order to meet the high demand.
So we can get a phone with the processor Samsung produced in 14 nm process technology of 16 nm or system, which stands for TSMC . Interestingly, performance tests show very similar results both A9 processor, but significantly different here is the battery life – according to the source systems manufactured by TSMC withstand tests on large load even two hours longer than the variants of the Korean company. It is true that this type of benchmarks do not fully reflect typical daily use smartphone, but you can assume that even then we notice differences in favor Taiwanese company. Moreover, the version of TSMC also reaches lower temperatures. I must admit that there are quite surprising information, since it would seem that Samsung’s lower process enable better results.
To find out what processor is in our model, you can use the app Lirum Device Info Lite – System Monitor. If this shows the model number N71AP or N66AP, then we have a version of the Samsung, and TSMC variant is marked as N71MAP or N66MAP.
