How to safely watch the solar eclipse – Virtual Poland

A solar eclipse is a phenomenon beautiful, but its the inappropriate observation may lead to serious damage to eyes. Therefore, while watching today, a partial eclipse of the stars of our day to remember about safety.
 

Charles Wojcicki Copernicus Science Center recommends that you take a few minutes and the same construct so-called pinhole camera. This simple “device” made up of the tube, a small cardboard and paper, for example, for baking. It takes several minutes to construct and instructions can be found on the Internet. Pinhole camera allows safe, but precise observation of the eclipse. Charles Wojcicki adds that you can also buy special, tinted glasses. They cost a few pounds, and are available in stores astronomical.

The eclipse will start around 9.40, and ends a few minutes after 12:00. Moon override from 60 to 80 percent of the sun’s surface, depending on where in Poland, which will conduct observations.
