Experts used a method – as it is called – a viral archeology. Find any sign of the beginning of the AIDS capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Kinshasa.
It was in the 20s of the last century. The authors of the weekly “Science” claim that the cause of the pandemic was complex. Important factor was the widespread trafficking in human beings for sexual population growth and the use of dirty needles and syringes. Moreover, the Kinshasa train traveled a million people a year, which dragged the disease to other countries.
From the beginning of the epidemic to date HIV infected about 75 million people.
