On the first Sunday of Advent in the universal Church year begins Consecrated Life.

Throughout the world there are approx. 950 thousands of consecrated persons: nuns, brothers and fathers, people belonging to Secular Institutes and Individual Forms of Consecrated Life. There are over two times more than the priests, which is approx. 410,000. All consecrated persons give themselves entirely to the service of God and humanity through the imitation of Christ in the way of the evangelical counsels.

Without their testimony and dedication is hard to imagine the life and work of the contemporary Church.
